Activities off the pitch
Grab a table on the waterfront outdoor patio at Wausau on Water (WOW). Enjoy a relaxing bite to eat while your kids play laser tag and arcade games. Take a hike at Rib Mountain State Park. Explore Monk Botanical Gardens.
Looking for something more tranquil? Visit one of Wausau’s many art museums. The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, a National Medal winner, attracts international visitors to the area. Enjoy the indoor exhibits as well as the outdoor sculpture garden. Explore the recently opened Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art and Center for the Visual Arts. Stroll down 3rd street in the Wausau River District, Wausau’s historic downtown area and recipient of a 2019 Great American Main Street Award. Enjoy a broad assortment of boutique shops and dining. Purchase a sweet treat or grab a healthy snack at the Downtown Grocery featuring local and organic options and lunchtime deli.
