COVID-19 Protocols and Responsibilities
In order to safely participate in the soccer tournament, an individual including, but not limited to, players, coaches, club staff, and spectators, must satisfy the criteria listed below. Failure to follow the criteria may result in removal from tournament grounds for the remainder of the tournament.
Understand the inherent risks of the environment and the steps we are taking to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19.
EXPECTATIONS FOR COACHES
Ensure the health and safety of all players, including no signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 14 days and have not been exposed to someone that has been ill in 14 days. Stay home if displaying any signs or symptoms. Notify the tournament director immediately.
Ensure all athletes have their individual equipment (ball, water, bag etc.).
At the bench area, space your players and their belongings at least 6 feet apart. Players shall be required to return to their designated area during breaks from play.
Have fun, stay positive – players and parents are looking to you to stay calm, supportive and caring during this time.
Sanitize thoroughly before and after games.
Observe the player designated areas established by the coach at the bench area.
Do not touch or share anyone else’s equipment, water, snack or bag.
Ensure your child is healthy.
Check with your child, and ask them whether they are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 ( cough, fever, or loss of taste or smell).
Ensure all equipment, cleats, ball, shin guards etc. are washed or sanitized.
Notify the coach immediately if your child becomes ill for any reason.
Ensure your child has enough water or beverages.
No signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 14 days and have not been exposed to someone that has been ill in 14 days. Do not attend the tournament if displaying any signs or symptoms.
